Use Backdrop in Claude or ChatGPT

Connect Backdrop to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your calls right from your AI assistant. Paste one link, sign in, and you're done.

Want Claude or ChatGPT to answer questions about your calls? Connect Backdrop once, and your assistant can look up your calls and transcripts for you. It takes about a minute, and it can only read your calls — it can't change anything.

Step 1: Copy this link

https://mcp.app.getbackdrop.ai/mcp

That's Backdrop's connector address. You'll paste it into Claude or ChatGPT.

Step 2: Add it to your assistant

Claude

Go to Customize → Connectors.
Click +, then Add custom connector.
Paste the link and click Add.
Click Connect and sign in with your Backdrop account.

On a team plan?

Your admin adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Then you connect it from Customize → Connectors like everyone else.

ChatGPT

Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings and turn on Developer mode.
Back in Apps, click Create.
Name it Backdrop and paste the link.
Click Scan Tools, sign in with your Backdrop account, then click Create.
Open a chat, click +, and turn on Backdrop.

Step 3: Ask away

"What did we cover on my last call with Acme?"
"Summarize my discovery calls from this week."
"List the objections that came up on yesterday's demo."

Problems connecting?

Sign-in keeps looping? Connect again and make sure you pick your team when asked.
No Developer mode in ChatGPT? It's off by default. Turn it on in Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings — on a company workspace, your admin may need to enable it for you.
