Fellow Integration: Sync Your Team's Meeting Recordings

With Fellow connected, your team's recorded customer meetings become a source Backdrop draws on: how prospects describe their pain, the objections that come up, and how your best reps answer them.

Before you start

• Fellow's Developer API must be on. It's available on paid Fellow plans. A Fellow admin turns it on for the workspace in Fellow's workspace Security settings.
• Pick the right Fellow user. Backdrop sees the recordings that the API key's owner can see in Fellow. Create the key from an account with access to the meetings you want Backdrop to learn from.

Get your Fellow details

You need two things:

1. Your workspace subdomain. It's the part of your Fellow URL before .fellow.app. For https://acme.fellow.app, the subdomain is acme.
2. An API key. In Fellow, open your User settings, go to the developer API section, and create a new key. Give it a name you'll recognize, such as "Backdrop", and copy it. Fellow shows the key only once.

Connect Fellow in Backdrop

1. In the Backdrop app, open Knowledge from the sidebar.
2. Find Fellow and click Connect on its card.
3. In the Everyone row, click Connect. A secure connection form opens in your browser.
4. Enter your workspace subdomain and API key, and submit. Backdrop checks them before saving.

When the card turns green and reads For everyone, Fellow is connected.

What Backdrop syncs

• Recordings and their transcripts from the meetings the key's owner can see.
• New recordings every hour after the first sync.

Disconnect Fellow

1. Open Knowledge and click Manage on the Fellow card.
2. In the Everyone row, click Disconnect, then confirm.

Backdrop stops receiving recordings from Fellow. To switch to a new key, disconnect, then connect again with the new key.
