Confluence Personal Integration: Your Spaces on Every Call

Connect your own Confluence account to Backdrop. Read-only access to the spaces and pages you can see, searched on your behalf during calls.

With your own Confluence account connected, the pages you rely on, like product specs, technical docs, and internal wikis, are searchable from Backdrop.

What Backdrop can read

Backdrop can read the spaces and pages your Confluence account can see. Access is read-only: Backdrop never creates, edits, or deletes anything in Confluence, and only you can use the connection.

Connect Confluence

  1. In the Backdrop app, open Knowledge from the sidebar.
  2. Find Confluence and click Connect on its card.
  3. In the Personal row, click Connect. Your browser opens the Atlassian sign-in page.
  4. Sign in to Atlassian, choose the Confluence site to connect, and approve access.

When the Confluence card turns green and reads For you, you're connected.

Note:

Atlassian's approval screen may name the connecting app as a Nango client rather than Backdrop. Nango is the service Backdrop uses to manage connections, so this is expected.

Disconnect Confluence

  1. Open Knowledge and click Manage on the Confluence card.
  2. In the Personal row, click Disconnect, then confirm.

Backdrop stops reading Confluence on your behalf. If something isn't working, see troubleshooting.
